Around the world, a growing number of cultural and arts organisations are speaking out against Israel's apartheid regime and are actively severing institutional, cultural, commercial, and political ties with it. Guided by the conviction that culture is never neutral, and that cultural work carries a moral responsibility to confront injustice.
Theater Utrecht has recently become an Apartheid Free Zone, joining the international campaign of the BDS movement (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions). Inspired by the global struggle against apartheid in South Africa, the campaign is active in countries including Belgium, the United Kingdom, Chile, the United States, Morocco, Switzerland, Brazil, Greece, Norway, Spain, and Italy, amongst others.
On 2 September, we invite you to join us for an evening exploring what it means to reject complicity and to build solidarity with Palestinians undergoing genocide. What does solidarity look like in practice? What challenges do we encounter, and how can we support each other, on a personal and organisational level?
The evening will start with a shared meal. There will be space to share experiences, ask questions, and collectively explore concrete ways to take action.
Whether you've been involved for years or are simply curious to learn more, you are warmly welcome.

The programme will be held in Dutch, English, and Arabic.
